Michael Maybaum, a resident of West Orange, NJ and a mechanical engineer with Turner Construction Company in New York City, recently managed the construction of the mechanical systems for the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY. Mike graduated from Villanova University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
"Being part of the Yankee stadium project is one of the most difficult and rewarding things I have ever done. For two years, I stressed and worked twelve hours a day to create not just a building, but a monument, a tribute to a team and a city. I might be biased, but the finished product is without comparison- it is without equal. I will never forget the day I took my family on a tour, right before it opened to the public. I was proud to share with them this incredible accomplishment that I was privileged to be a part of. We had the good fortune of going to a game together as a family, and it was fun sitting in the stands as a fan and seeing the stadium in an entirely different way. I dedicated myself completely to this project, and pushed myself harder than I ever have- it was an incredible learning experience, and I cannot wait to sit in the stands with my own children one day!"
