We can hardly believe we are celebrating our first wedding anniversary already. This year has absolutely flown by! But August 8, 2008 is a day that we both remember as if it were yesterday. We are off to Nantucket to celebrate!

Not a day goes by that I don't think of our wedding. It was the moment I had waited for for a very long time. Ever since I met Katie, I knew that she was the one I would marry, because I never felt more like myself than when I was with her. That day, when she was walking down the aisle, all of my dreams came true. Though that may sound too mushy for a guy, it's the honest truth, and the reason why I consider myself so lucky. As this summer goes on, the thoughts and memories of our wedding and that perfect summer day in August get stronger. I remember waking up, going to the hotel restaurant and getting breakfast, and going to the beach to relax. That's how that day began. And relaxed and content is how I've felt ever since. We have been married exactly one year today; what an incredible realization. The best year of my life? Absolutely. Always easy? Absolutely not. I am so proud to be married to my wife, who supports me through everything, and drives me a little crazy (the good kind!) in the process. We bought a little house in New Jersey--in between New York where I work and Philadelphia where she commutes for grad school. Living together, building a home together, building a life together---these are the things I am most grateful for. And Lola is grateful to have a backyard of her own!
